Is this recall a hoax or what? Went to my dealer today and they ran my vin number thru their cumputer and gues what I"m not included. My truck is a 95 manufactured in Nov. of 94 and has 106,000 miles on it. My cable is stretched bad-about 1 inch of play before anything happens when you step on the foot pedal. I told them I need to have it fixed any way andthey told me if a recall ever happens I can be reimbursed by dc if I submit the proper paper work and wait about 6 months. I still love my truck but am getting fed up with DC. Has anybody else had any luck on this recall or should I just take my lumps and get on with life. (with out the suport of DC)

I replaced my throttle cable in '97 after it stuck in WOT at 95 mph. Called my local dealer yesterday about the recall on my '95, It's not included ! I think we're just jumping the gun so far on this recall, I don't think DC has really finalized it yet. I would just replace it if it needs it and save the receipt, it may pay off some day.

Thanks Bill
I went to the dealer today and had the cable replaced. I already had the cable because I bought it last year and have been carrying it behind the seat (just in case). The mechanic who replaced it was aqbout my age (well probly younger} but he was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing. Checked the end play when the throttle was pushed to the floor to make sure it was opening all the way and also checked the voltage at the tps. I also noticed he was listening to Rush Limbough on his radio at his work station. Can"t be to bad eh. Any way I saved the receipt just in case DC ever gets around to issuing a recall for us 95 guys. Sorry to hear about the apple trees but dont blame you because the prices are so low. Seems that way with all the farmers.
