After much reading, I’m looking for opinions. While driving steady less than 60 MPH, roughly 1400 RPM the truck will go flat. I press the accelerator to the floor and get a few second delays before it accelerates and will jump at that and downshift. I’ve changed the fuel filter twice. I did the transmission reset by turning on the key and pressing the accelerator three times. The problem is intermittent. From the forum I see a few things other than the VP44 going south: APPS, TPS, MAP Sensor, battery grounds.

I plan to try and do the APPS/TPS sensor reset procedure and verify battery ground.

Any other suggestions?

TPS is in the process of going out. I have had lots of exp. in the course 1,000,000 mi. on two 2nd gen. 3500`s. Best source is Geno`s. Good Luck

I had the same problem. I cleaned my IAT sensor, reset the apps and put on a new lift pump and now is as smooth as silk. Can't tell you which one of the fixes did it though.

Well Boys & Girls, it was a bad VP44, code 216. Swapped the pump, 4mpg increase, power and turbo spins up faster... ...
