Adaptor plate for gm bellhousing?

Chevy questions

I have heard talk about electronics on the throttle of the HPCR motors. Does any one know what the best way to set this up in a 78 Ford is?

BManier,

The 04. 5 version has a cable that goes into the engine compartment, and a TPS on a bracket at the end of the cable (mine has this). The 05 went to TPS sending units right on the pedal. . so, you might like the full fly-by-wire if you can find one, or, if the cable is already there just retrofit the existing cable (like mine).

For more info check the member autoworld if you need more details. They've done several hundred conversions, including mine.

My '01 Cummins "ISB 170" (3. 9L, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, HPCR) is fly-by-wire with the switch/rheostat on the pedal. It came out of a "Workhorse" brand step van that uses a lot of GM components, so it is a bit of an odd bird. The Dodge Rams use a totally different ECM and therefore different throttle/TPS setup.

My ECM is liquid cooled by fuel... :)

I have an '03 and mine uses a cable to the TPS which is mounted under the drivers' side battery. some of the others have the TPS mounted on the intake forward of the horn on the engine.

It really doesn't matter where it is mounted.
