I have a 95 3500 4X4 with Auto, Are there any rebuild componants for the linkage on the Injection pump that control trans shift into OD. Part #

Thanks

i have a similar issue with my throttle cable where it mounts on the pump. the plastic cable end just falls off where it attaches to the pump, im wondering if i can replace the plastic cable end and re-crimp it or will i have to replace the entire throttle cable. any thoughts?

There are repair parts available for the linkage

But not the same as the originals

They have superceded most of the parts to a kit

The cables have no repair parts and will need

To be replaced

Bob, Just recently my linkage has been intermittently sticking when returning to idle and causing an added 2-300RPMs. I can slap the peddle and it returns to normal idle speed. I've tried spraying the linkage with lube, but it still happens once in a while. Any recommendations or ideas?

Also, where are the repair parts available at?

TIA, Ray

There was a recall on the linkage way back when for sticking. Make sure your truck has had that done. It was a different cable and end at the linkage.

Recall # 970. The throttle linkage on the pump and the cable. Good luck on getting it done @ the dealer.

surfbeetle and MLee,
Thanks, you guys! I called the Dodge Dealer and she said that recall was done on my truck in 2003 and said the recall # was B15? That was before I owned it.
I'm just going to go with the $40 kit on Ebay.
Thanks again, Ray

While it wasn't the exact answer you were looking for, I'm we were able to be of some assistance. Hope you get it all sorted out.

I had the recall done two months ago. I tend to procrastinate. The dealer only replaced the ball and socket linkages. They didn't touch the cable itself.

It may not be the external linkage.

There is a shaft that goes through the p-pump case down where the idle speed is adjusted. Mine got rusty over 13 years, to the point where the pedal was hard to push and it wouldn't return to idle. I hit it good with WD-40, worked it well, then hit it with PB Blaster and worked it good again. It's been behaving itself since.

Also ck to be sure all your return springs
Are impose and have not broken
The repair parts are available at the dealer or Cummins
