Has anyone installed a throttle lock cable on their truck? And if so where did you get the part and how hard was it to install? I would like to be able to kick up the throttle when warming up (1100). Thanks for your help. Neil

I installed a throttle lock on my 03. I bought it at a local parts house. I pulled my go pedal out and drilled a hole just below where the cable goes out to the engine. I installed the lock through the knee panel and made a bracket that attached to the lower dash behind the panel. It is directly in line with the hole I drilled at the top of the go pedal arm. I cut the throttle lock cable off, leaving about 1 inch of extra length through the hole in the go pedal arm. Then I just bent the wire at a 90* leaving about 1/2" length behind the go pedal arm as not to interfere with its travel. It has worked great. But I do get some vibration noise when I have my cruise on, because I dont have any pressure on the gas pedal. I cure that by turning up the radio a little more! Hope this helps.

Napa, I used there choke kit, about 10 bucks. It has a T handle and quarter turn lock, aout 6 foot of metal sheathed cable. Just run it out to where the cruze control attaches to the linkage. I can lock mine from 750 to 2000 rpm easily. Bill
