Alright, I did a search and nothing. Last night going around corner 5-10 MPH light throttle and all of a sudden nothing for about 2 seconds and everything is fine. Second time it does it, same conditions, there is no throttle for about 5 seconds and motor is idling. Throws check engine light. No codes. Only codes I have which have been on there awhile is PO633 SKIM Key Not In ECM(thanks dealer) & PO700 Transmission Control System MIL Request (due to shift kitinstalled). TPS Sensor going bad? Also it seems that when on cruise control lately it surges. Between 5-15PSI some times. What gives. I dont have anything hooked up at all. Quad has been out for 6 months, laying on my bench. Any ideas. I am going to Kentucky next Saturday and dont want this to be a major issue.

According to the sight that recall is for manual transmissions. The lack of pedal is of more concern for me right now. Where is the TPS located?

Could be the fuel control actuator as well, I finally ordered one today after all the heckling from Ryan (RBattelle) :-laf

Looking in the service manual I see it. There is no Throttle Postion Sensor for the Cummins. It is called an Accelerator Position Sensor.

just called dealer. They want $509 for the Accelerator Position Sensor. Man I would hate to buy it and that not be it. It sure sounds like that would be it. Any further suggestions? Dodge dealer could not even find the Fuel Control Accuator on his computer.

The fuel control actuator used to be a part of a new CP-3, but is now a separate part number for less than a couple hondo. Mine has had the erratic idle, stumble from dead stop, the falling flat on it's nose (like it completely died) at speed with with/out cruise etc ... ... ... . it is supposed to be in tomorrow so we'll see.

OK here is the deal. I ordered the part will be here tommorrow. What would it hurt to tear it apart spray some electrical contact cleaner on it and just try cleaning it up. Put it back and see if it pulses while on cruise control. If it works I am not out $500 big ones. What do you think. Any electrical gurus in the house?

FYI: I tore it apart and found condensation on the back side of sensor. Sprayed electrical contact cleaner all over it. Put it back. Drove it and it seemed to help. So I replaced air & fuel filter. Cleaned CPS sensor and IAT sensor. Drove it. Problem solved! Now what can I do with the $500 I just saved?
