having that cold weather surge again, tries to come out of overdrive at highway speeds, tach moves about 200 rpm,,up and down, pretty sure its the tps, cleaned the connection last year and it fixed the surge but not this time. has anyone tried to fool the sensor by jumping the cnnections in the plug? i tried just unplugging it,runs good if you dont need overdrive. is there any harm in trying to fool it ? i'm just trying to avoid paying the price they want for the lil plastic box with a spring. has anyone found a good price on the tps? i checked auto-zone etc. and comes up "not required" this is for my 94 by the way thanks
