Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) throttle rod

Today on my way to work I hit a pot hole and the truck would only idle nothing from the throttle pedal. I found that the metal rod that is threaded that pushes the pump from the throttle pedal had snapped in half. any idea the part number or correct name for this part. I still cant figure out why it would have broke? Thanks

The same thing happend on my 97 I bought the new part I might be able to find the number I think it was like 30 35 bucks.

Mine snapped too. I think its a vibration related thing.

I've had three break, sorry can't find the part number. There is a recall on the rod ends. If you haven't had it done you might get a new rod assembly out of it.

You probably wont get a new rod I sent mine in for the recall when the threaded rod broke and they wouldnt fix it its not part of the recall just the rod ends for the ball joints.

Throttle

I have broken three rods on mine . Itook a small piece of angle about 8 inches long and strapped it to my rod with hos clamps . It has been on for 5yrs. no problem. Bob.
