I started noticing an engine surge when I take my foot off the gas. If I take the engine up to about 1800 in neutral (or drive) and then take my foot off the gas, the engine will give me a brief surge about half way down on the way to idle speed. It is almost like there is backed up fuel, and it goes in all at once. It is very brief, and only is good for about 100 PRM, but it is definately noticible. I was just wondering if anybody else has had this, or knows what it is. Pump and injectors have 94K miles

In big cam cummins 855 block It was a sign of the filter clogging. It would make you miss gears. I also had 7. 3 ford that the throtle would run away just before you ran out of fuel. [thank god for duel tanks]:D

Mine doesnt do that but it is still a little touchy on the throttle since governor springs I guess I need to back em off another half turn. How are yours working out?
