just curious... has anyone ever tried to puch their throttle pedal down when the truck wasnt running? i had a problem the other day with the fuel shutoff selenoid and the truck wouldn't start. when i tried to give it just a little fuel (before i realized what the problem was), the pedal was almost locked up. one you pushed it past a certain point, it was free as normal. now that the truck i running again, the pedal is fine, but as soon as the truck is turned off, it goes back to sticking. I was told that there were some throttle cable problems with these trucks, but if that was the case, i think it would stiff regardless of whether or not the engine is running. just curious what could cause this... thanks for any info.

The pedal operation you describe is normal. The linkage doesn't have full movement until the solenoid activates.
