I had a fuel leak on the main line to the injector pump on friday Never Got Below 15 psi when leaking. After i fixed the leak and bled the injectors For possible air. I drove the truck and had no power? wouldn't boost above 10 psi and would bounce in and out of power. Check the Code threw just a 1693. Took the fuel box out and drove just on motor and had the same problem. Checked all the connections on the map sensor and throttle postion sensor. Sat night i disconnected the batt. cables and let sit over night 12 -14 hours. That didn't help. Sunday night i threw a 0122 code along with the 1693. The power comes in and out when driving. Can it be a map sensor? apps? Cam Postion. I'm starting to think maybe the fuel leak soked a connection? Not sure where Help Help!!!!!

As per chrysler factory service manual code 0122= Throttle position sensor (apps) signal voltage too low . Code 1693 = Dtc detected in pcm/ecm or dtc detected in ecm. A companion dtc was set in both the ecm and pcm . (you will need a scanner to verify APPS is or isnt working as well as clear the codes out ) or cycle the ignition key 40 times after the repar to reset the computers.

I would check the wire and pins closely on the APPS one is loose then ohm out the sensor to see if it is ok . (I cant find the spec for this right now though)

good luck

I would venture to say it is either you APPS has died on ya, or your Injection pump is starting to go.

I had the same symptoms with my dying VP44's

For some reason a dying IP always seems to show up right after I touch the fuel system. My 98 died shortly after a fuel filter change and my 2000 right after I added the Stanadyne pump.
