Do you mean 1048 or 0148? 1048 is not listed anywhere in the powertrain diagnostics manual...

If it is 0148, not 1048, it is "high pressure common rail checksum" and is set when the actual fuel pressure and the set point don't agree.

I'm seeing it on CA trucks so far. Anyone see it on an HO truck at all? I'm around 400 HP, and no codes at all.
