When something good happens it should be shared.
I have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, the front left wheel bearing started rumbling at 48,000 miles. I changed it out for a new Timken and went about my business. A month later the right front bearing failed in the same manner.
Bob 4x4 alerted me to the fact that Chrysler had extended the warranty on front wheel bearings to 50,000 miles on my vehicle and provided a link to the site where the form was to request reimbursement.
I kept both failed bearings in case they would be needed as part of the claim, did the paperwork up just about 2 weeks ago and submitted it electronicly using a link that Chrysler provided. I only asked for the price of the bearings, no labor or other charges as I did all of the work myself, sent copies of the purchase paperwork, etc.
Today the wife calls, there was a check in the mail from Chrysler for the total amount that I requested. I just checked my sent folder, that was submitted by me on 02/27/2013. That is pretty good in my book.
Fair enough, I am impressed. Oo.
Mike.
