Guys,

Time to think about whats happening this summer... .....

I'd like to attend the Muncie project. Can any one out there tell be a little about it? I know there is a truck pull/dyno contest/drag races, but is there a truck show I could enter my rig in? Should I stay one day or two? Do they have a tech session? I'm not ready for dyno runs, but want to watch. Who put this thing together anyway?

Anyone on this board going to be there? I want to meet up with some fellow 1st Genners!

Thanks in advance

Scott

Scott,

TIM is a 2 day event. On Saturday there is a truck show with various classes. I have entered my truck in the work truck class. Never even placed, but got to park in the shade. There are also dyno runs and a truck pull. Sunday is the drag racing events. I have gone for the past 2 years. I would bet that Philip and I show up again this year. I also know that JFitzgerald has been there and will prbobaly show up again:) with his Chevy conversion. There are a lot of good vendors there. Diesel Sports Promotions puts TIM on. Eric McBride is the man in charge and does a great job with the show. Hope you can come, its a lot of fun.

I plan on being there agin this year.

They do have a show and shine class and work truck classes to.

Last year If I remember right there was around 12 or so 1st gen's there.

Here are a bunch of pic's from last years event.

If you plug "Thunder In Muncie" into google you can come back with a lot of info.

You need to go. It is fun.

Hey Scott, I'd have to guess you would not regret making the trip. If, somehow, you aren't a dieselhead yet, you will be after TIM! If you can only make one day, I'd choose Saturday. The pulls are great.

I'll be there. My new job involves a lot of overtime including most Saturdays and some Sundays. I'll probably have to take vacation time to be there, but it's worth it. There's even a misguided PS owner at work who'd like to come. He does admit the Cummins trucks are hard to beat though.

Better get busy working on my truck. I have accumulated quite a pile of parts, and need to get them installed. :D

Saturday is definitely the day you don't want to miss. I hope I get to drive my truck, but we might be riding with one of my buds from school, I think there are a couple of them wanting to come with me to TiM. I hope to see yall there. :D Oo.

Steve

I'll definately be there. Scheid's 03 was my first diesel event, and I've read in the diesel event forum that TIM is bigger than Scheid's. After the event I had to have stacks, thats all you saw. So watch out Scott, the stack bug might hit ya! Looking forward to convoying early Saturday morning with hopefully 1st genners. I'll probly drive there both days. Bill

Thanks to all who replied to this thread! Lot-o-good stuff. The TIM site really helped out.

I WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just looking over the TiM site, now when it says $30 for a 2 day gate pass. Is that gate pass good for all events? Or do you have to pay a gate pass, just to get in, then have to pay to watch drags, and pulls? I'm just goin on Schied's event, where it was free admission to get in the gate, but you had to pay to watch the pulls, didnt watch the drags so I dont know how it was set up. SO I'm hoping the $30 2-day gate pass is good for EVERYTHING!? Bill

Got my reservations confirmed ... Oo.

Look for my truck... ... ... ... . don't know what color it will be by the time June rolls around. Probably black ??

The right rear wheel will be black fo' sure!! :D :D

I'm at Super 8

That $30 pass gets you in as a spectator to all events on Saturday and Sunday.

I'll be there!

Still hope to see some of you there. My truck is silver/gray/black. Look for it. I will have an eye skinned for the first gen rigs.

Driving out on Friday June 4th. Staying at Super8.

Just a few weeks away!

Scott,

I will be there on Saturday as long as we're not putting up hay, aka trying to make money. Will be in a maroon/beige W-350. Can't miss it.

Case500D,

Jeremy,

I had looked at your website before to get part numbers for rear brakes, your content has changed:rolleyes:

You might want to remove that link from your signature unless that's your new field of business:D :) :D

Caleb,

Uhm, no. I would definitely go bankrupt if that was my new business.

 Sorry guys. Forgot about my link. Didn't get the domain name re-registered in time. Some porn lovin' hippie from Australia hijacked my domain name. Very embarrassing. I have about 500 business cards out with the web site listed. Man this is going to get entertaining. Got to love what you can find on the internet
