Thunder In Muncie- Thanks Steve and George for the Rescue

In my effort to make Thunder in Muncie I did not quite get all the parts back together properly. In this case my side cover gasket did not hold. I blew it out about 10 minutes south of the campground and was stranded on the interstate. I at least had the sense to have my wife and kids take the minivan as a chase vehicle.



Fortunately for me, Steve St. Laurent came to the rescue. Steve volunteered to bring my trailer back to the campground. He then was able to get a hold of George Cobb (83 crew cab) and George brought his car hauler down and towed my truck to Dave’s Diesel. Its people like this that makes the TDR and GLTDR great.

I'm curious, who was the Michigan member who needed a tow back home from the dragstrip Sunday? I heard the announcer call for help and wondered who it was. I had no trailer, but after talking to a few guys, nobody else had heard it.



Also I saw a truck on the left shoulder of I-69 near Fort Wayne with an empty flatbed trailer. Could've sworn it was a CTD, but I was flying by. No answer on the radio so I didn' turn back. (I was also flying with a MI convoy. )

at least i got to find out I only had 10psi in the rear tires on the trailer that way
