I just replaced a still tight track bar with a Thuren and can't believe the difference it has made. The old bar had no visible movement, but my truck had a slight wandering issue. The whole front end feels so much tighter now. I'm not sure if it is because the axle is centered now or what, but the front end also feels better when compressing over bumps. I am very pleased with this product.

Hey Dan

Me too... nothing like a tight front end to make driving these monsters a bit easier. Don makes a great product and also having the axle CENTERED for proper geometry is the biggest difference for overall feel of the truck. Tim The Tool Man pointed this out to me 4 years ago and I must say it's a HUGE difference in road manors.

Noticed same thing here. OEM track bar was tight R & R 'd it w/ a Thuren and it tightened up the steering a lot.

WTBurke & TTTM hit the nail on the head: "... . and also having the axle CENTERED for proper geometry is the biggest difference for overall feel of the truck"

Don's T-Bar is a strong buy.

Are you guys having any problems with them fitting without a leveling kit?

Don't plan on lifting mine, but am considering a Thuren bar in the near future.

The Thuren bar is adjustable. You can use it w/o lift, and if you do add some suspension later, you just adjust the track bar to the longer length needed. :)

MStallings,

You may have a problem with the fit. The '01 and '02 trucks can have clearance issues with the front differential cover. My old '01 needed a leveling kit to clear the bar. I think that Don suggests trying to fit a lid from a rattle can over your existing joint as his is about that size.

I'm not sure why the '01 and '02 trucks have issues... the front axle must be oriented slightly differently (slight angle change or something).

I tried the spray cover and it fit bought the bar, and it was hitting the differential so I leveled the truck. Am very happy with the product.

Thanks,

That is what I thought. Don't really want to lift the truck so maybe I will just pick up a lifetime warranty bar and replace as needed.
