I installed a thuren trackbar and it is hitting the front differential I have talked to Don and he would gladly take it back. I do like the configuration of this bar, and have ordered a 2" leveling kit which will raise the front enough so that it does not hit anymore.

Am I making a mistake by raising this front end to compensate?

As long as you install 2" longer bump styops you'll be ok. Is your truck a long bed or short bed? I have the same combo and am worried mine will hit too.

I've been running that setup for a long time with no problems. Don Thuren is first class and he treats his customers very well. You won't be disappointed with his track bar.

JKinney,

I have 2" leveling springs on the front on my truck. There is a mile of room between the diff and the Thuren T-Bar. I have DT's 1/2" forward upper and lower links which pushes the diff even more forward. Still tons of room.

This is the first time I ever heard of replacing the bumpstops. I could never compress the front suspension enough to contact the bumpstops when the truck was stock height.

Thanks for the replies, I got the leveling kit via UPS Monday. Im waiting on my harbor frieght spring compressors. Im hoping I can jack the truck up remove the shock, and compress the spring and install without tearing alot of other parts off.

if this works out the 98 heavy duty steering is next.
