Does anyone here know this guy personally? Ive left him several mssgs to call me to order an adjustable trackbar and still no reply. I want one here by the first of next week but its not looking promising. Solid Steel will get called by tomorrow if he doesnt return my call soon.

Any help appreciated!

I had a little trouble contacting him initially, but once I did he was quite easy to work with. At that point, he didn't have the trackbars in stock so I had to wait for him to make one. Unless he has it already made up, getting it by the first of the week could be tough. He has really developed a lot of products recently so I suspect he is really busy. He does excellent work though.

I also have one on order. I spoke to him on the phone last week. I need the TB Monday, trucks going into Carli's and there installing it with a front end kit. Don flat out told me to call and reminded him, that he is really busy. He seams like a down to earth nice guy. I have found that people that are good at what they do are usually busy.

Chris, if ya want, let me know, I'll bug him. I havent personally met Don, but I have known him for a good 4-5 years. Like I told ya, his products are second to none. I have no problem buggin him for ya... . :-laf

FWIW, I had emailed him a couple weeks ago regarding a track bar, and he responded that he's been staying about 2 weeks behind schedule.

He called back last evening and I ordered one online and paid for it after we talked. He emailed back today and said he made a copy of my email and highlighted it and laid it on his desk to remind himself to get one out asap. It wont be here on time but Im giving him the benefit of the doubt since he was so nice to visit with.

I did mention your name Matt and he does remember you. LOL

:-laf I have spent hours on the phone with Don, great guy. I have alot of his stuff, and am very impressed with it. What I think is great is that my truck has ~40k miles on it with his hiem HD steering kit, that people swore up and down that I shouldnt put on a street truck. That with road grime and salt that they would wear out and be sloppy. Don told me that these will be fine, and are high quality hiems. 40k and 3 yrs later, they are still as tight as they were new! So, to all the nay sayers... . :p :-laf

New TB

Just receive my new Thuren adj 3rd gen TB WOW real nice:D he delivered on time. Yes, it was challenge to get hold of him but, it's worth it. Delivery took about 2 weeks.

I E-mailed Don and both times he E-mailed me back the next day. He was behind about two weeks. With shipping time I had mine in about three weeks. It comes bare so you will have to paint it. He said check the nuts about every 75 to 100 thousand miles.

alphacowboy, what size wheels do you have, and what backspacing? I emailed him about the heavyduty steering kit as I was worried too about the heim joints holding up in winter conditions around here. He told me that with my stock 16" steel wheels, the joints wouldn't clear. I'd have to go with a 18" wheel or at the very least a 17" with the right backspacing. I'd really like to go with a kit like that as I'm tired of replacing tierod ends, and the price of that kit doesn't seem all that bad when you consider what the factory stuff cost.
