tick tick tick from front hub

one or both my hubs make a light ticking sound when i am turning (only when i turn does it tick). had one fellow tell me oh thats normal, just your cv joint. call me ignorant but i didn't think these trucks had cv joints... is this the first sign my front ujoints are going out? i never remember the sound with my '04. just rolled 11k on the odometer, not even broken in yet.

U-joints

I replaced mine ('03) with Precision 463s. They are greasable.

U-joint, our axles don't use CV joints.

U joints. Just pray the repair shop can get the hubs off. Mine were frozen on and had to be destroyed to get them off.

New hubs, ball joints, tie rod ends, u-joints and shocks were a little expensive. Had I known my easy u-joint replacement was gonna cost 10 times what I thought, I would have buttoned it up and traded it on a new 6. 4 Ferd. NOT.



Should be good for another 100k now.
