I was doing another simple repair and replacing both tie rod ends, because I messed up the threads on one of them. As all of my projects on this truck have turned out, it went horribly wrong. The passenger side end has now stripped out in-place and will not come out. It turns, it takes a lot of force, but it turns, but it doesn't back out at all.

Any who, nobody sells the Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeve for the 4500# axle. Schucks(O'Reilly's) has the sleeve for the 3500# axle.

There was another post from 2006 where a guy needed the same thing, but no part number was ever posted. He found it at the dealer.

Does any one know where else I can get one? The Dodge dealer here closed. There is a Chrysler dealer, and I will check with them.

By the way it's a 93 W350 Dually with the 4500# Axle.

Make one

I tried truck salvage yards in the Denver area for my '93. I found nothing local. The part is no longer made by Chrysler. If your local truck salvage yard has internet parts networking, you may have a better opportunity. I had to make one! The threaded inserts and jam nuts are available from spydertrax(Rod Ends & Components). A piece of tube and some welding and you got yerself a new tierod. Remember, the threads are one right hand and the other left hand. GregH
