Got a recall notice for bad tie rod end. Went to the dealer and they confirmed it needs to be replaced, however, they have a list of about twenty trucks ahead of mine and they only get about one new part a week. They told me it would probably be about two months before they can fix it. The service manager told me to try and not hit any big bumps.
Apparently the reason they are so back logged is because the parts replaced during the last recall were also bad and have to be replaced again.

I had the tie rod replaced, doesn't take very long, but will involve a front end alignment at your cost. Alignment cost me 89 bucks at larry miller dodge in Tucson. I wouldn't think it should have cost me anything.

The toe in and steering center is no charge-included in the recall. If you request any other adjustment that would be on your dime.

Yes you have been screwed. Step 20 is set toe and center steering wheel. Pays 1.1 hrs. It does NOT pay to have the caster or camber adjusted. Need to look at your ticket and see what it says.
