Competition Recommendation for Sled Pulling

Competition Stock 1/4 mile times?

Wednseday night, Butler farm Show.

Still winless, Redram and I blew it out the gate twice, and elected not to pull off a third time, much to the dismay of the crowd, sorry fellas, the trucks were HOT.

However, the sled had the Ag Tronix system, and even though we both had Full Pulls, he was running about 19. 5 MPH, while I was at 19 even. Chances are pretty good he would have won the third pull off.

Greensburg Machine owner was in a 3 pull off deal with a Ford, and the old 440 put it to the blue oval, with 3 300'+ pulls, while the hot Ford only went 275 last time.

A discussin of the sled settings is here:

Really good read about the different settings a sled as, and the abuse the operator takes.

We are pulling at Sheakleyville PA fair tonight, and Ashtabula County Fair tommorrow night, Ohio.

Gene,

Have you considered that you might be successful in some of the new "stock turbo" classes.

You might want to consider going down another class AGAIN. :-laf :-laf

So who is more successful in their particular arenas, Gene or Comp. :-laf

So was that a 3rd low pull Gene? I know you probably won't answer me after the first comment.

2nd place last night, still winless... .

Absolutely Justin, I have made over 400 HP with an HX-35, I think it would be fun, laying the smack on new iron such as yours.

Yes, 3rd low, thats all I'm running this year, unless the track is loose.

The site owner deleted that thread, after he was called a few choice names, LMAO!!

If you are losing an argument, delete it!

That's probably what you thought when you dropped down a class this year. I think someone might be washed up. :-laf :-laf :-laf

We could have just a "Gene the Sledpuller" champion class.

It can be Gene vs. himself whichever of his 2 pulls is furthest wins.

Usually it will be the one successful hook out of the 2 (the one that gets off of the line!) :-laf :-laf
