My '99 DC has very stight steering and has had since new. I'm having to make constant minute corrections while blasting down the hwy. When turning a corner the steering wheel doesn't come back to normal. The tires are good and show no unusual wear patterns. Anyone else ever have this problem? I thought it would loosen up after some miles but I'm now at 47k and it's the same. Any ideas? Larv

I had the same problem with my truck. After reading all of the posts on steering problems I knew I had a bad gear box. Four dealers and about 10 appointments later they finally replace the gear box and the truck steered perfect. There are some adjustments you can make to the gear box. Do a search and you'll find tons of info.

Good luck

Locate the allen screw w/locknut on top of the gearbox and loosen 1/4 turn until you have the desired steering return.
