I hope this gets seen here.

Are there any difinitive dates/plans for Thunder in Muncie 05? The company wants a lot of warning for that much time off. :D

Plan on June 24-26. Those are locked in..... More details to come in September. But don't make reservations yet.

That's good. I've missed the last three due to conflicts. With the new date there should be no reason to miss.

You married?

Yeah. The first year I missed because we got married that weekend. The next year (last year) I missed because I went to an NSRA show in Springfield, MO the weekend before. This year we had planned to do that show again (the weekend before TiM) or the Hot Rod Power Tour (the same weekend as TiM). I didn't make it to either and it was to late for TiM.

My old lady isn't preventing me from going. Matter of fact, she'll probably come along next year.

Pretty cool:cool: Now I can finally make the 45 minute trip over there. My daughter has made state finals in track for three years straight and it was always on TIM day. She is also a Dieselgirl

Mebby we can put her on the track and let her run the quarter.

BTW how many horsepower does it take to move a 120 pound female 1/4 mile in 56. 9 seconds?

Uhh... . doesn't that depend how much chrome she's wearing? I know it makes trucks faster. :D

I knew the new date would be much better for people, especially if we have a wet spring and it pushes planting back. It could interfer with bailing season, but hay can sit on the field for a weekend!

According to my calculations - she would need about 0. 129 horsepower to do the 1/4 mile in ~56. 9sec... that's if she cuts a good light and doesn't run out of RPM on the top end.

Wait - you said she was a dieselgirl... how heavily fueled is she? Excess smoke at the starting line has been known to mess with the beams at the starting line and give a lower ET...

Uhm... it's uhh... . prolly gunna take me more than a weekend to get there and back. DEFINITLY worth it though! :D

Same here. I will change the date, and sit on the res. until the location is decided. This time I am staying the whole weekend.

Much better date. Should make it a little easier getting the trucks ready seing how i'll be out of school for two weeks. Also didnt have to much time to study up for my monday final this year since i'd been in muncie all weekend.
