GTDR and GDOA Meeting for February

Muncie or May Madness

Would the $30 range be better? Is the gambling too much? Come on folks talk to me, I want to know what you want.

Eric, IMO the gambling would be a little much. TIM is jam-packed with almost too much to do already, unless you plan to add another day or two to the venue... ... ... .

Rob

THE $30 SOUNDS EVEN BETTER AND THE "CASINO" ACTION SOUNDS LIKE FUN ALSO. THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE GAMBLING DON'T HAVE TO. IT MAY BE A GOOD PLACE FOR THE WIVES TO MAKE SOME EXTRA CASH TO BUY YOU A NEW TURBO ON SATURDAY:D :D YOU CAN COUNT US IN FOR BOTH (UNLESS I'M IN THE HOSPITAL AGAIN),

ET & PATTI

i didn't notice in the previous posts how long this "event" goes on and what other activities are planned. i am not a gambling type person (thats why i bought the cummins);) . i have stayed at the lee's inn, in muncie when i was at 3M in Hartford City about 5 months ago. it is definately a nice place. i think i will see if 3M needs my services again around say June 4. might be able to expense this trip. :D i am discussing now with the wife. i will keep an eye on this thread. being a new owner of a CTD, we have never attended one of these, so we need all the info you can give us.

TIA jim

Technicaly, TIM is Saturday and Sunday, but quite a few are there early Friday. They have a vendors midway, show-n-shine, dyno runs, drag races, and of course sled-pulling. Plenty of things to do for sure.

DRAG RACING!

did someone say drag racing! ... i just called and got my reservations ... never knew there was drag racing at TiM ... the wife, son and i will be there ...

boy have i got to spend some money between now and then

gambling doesn't interest me any, but i'm sure the wife wouldn't mind all that much

Oo. drag racing!

1/4 or 1/8

we'll see how good that billet input shaft does :D

If it is too expensive, we'll go back to just taking over Texas Roadhouse as usual. I just thought it would be better to eat and drink closer to the hotels. We'll make sure they bring the peanuts!

lil red; We start seeing people arriving on Thursday even saw some folks Wednesday in 2002.

kick off

got my room at lees inn. bringing three others with me what ever price you can get for the kick off party is good with us. have not been here before, the gambling sounds like fun unless there is already to much else to do. sounds like you all put on one hell of a show. :D Oo. Oo.

At events like these, do the venders have better deals on products like exhaust, boxes ,guages, filters, etc..... ?

Or if you buy there you just may save on shipping charges, but then have to pay sales tax or something like that.

I am not looking for clearance items or used items. I am talking about new items.

example: I see TST was listed for TiM. If I was interested in their new box , should I just buy one when I am ready or try to pick one up at an event like this?

THANKS

I have a friend who bought all his goodies at T. I. M and got a good deal. Yes they do run specials at T. I. M.

I won't gamble, but I'll eat and drink.

Anything in the range of $30-$50 is a good deal - it all depends on what we're getting for the money...

Matt

I think having it catered somewhere is a great idea. We definetly need more room than what the Roadhouse can provide. Again, the gambling idea really isnt for me, but if you have the people who will commit their time to running it, go for it... just keep it seperate from the rest of the party.

As for the $$ goes, try this idea... numbers are for example only...

You could make it $20 to eat only (no alcoholic drinks) OR $40 to eat [and] this would include say, 10 drink tickets per person (for one ticket equals one beer or "drink". Those that want to eat and drink will pay $40, and those that dont want to drink, can still eat, but WONT have to help pay for those that drink. Doing it this way might also help satisify the local laws where the alcohol is concerned.

1/4 Mile!Oo.

jtisdale hit the nail on the head ... wife and i don't drink ... but enjoy watching the ones who do:D

long as i don't have to carry anyone big 'ole rednecks to their rooms  , long story

I just reserved a room @ Lee's Inn.

Non-smoking

2-Queen sized beds

The guy on the other end of the phone knew about TiM.

I've passed out in other people's rooms in previous years... now people can pass out in my room if they'd like to.

Straight6Jeff, Wheaties - the room is on me this year, and thanks for letting me crash previously.
