Does any one have these in there CTD?As far as I can tell there just super long bump stops. Do they work with a 2. 5 lift?

I just put a set on the front of my truck. They work great. I got them due to my snowplow weight and was a little concerned that they would be a harsh ride withut the plow but I was wrong. The ride IMHO is much better than stock. No more nose dive. My suspension is stock except for the Bilstien shocks. Without the plow they just clear the axle pads by 1/4 - 1/2". All you do to install them is to remove your bumper stops and insert the Timbrens in thier place. Took a bit of coaxing to get them in but they will never fall out. With a 2-1/2" lift they would never contact the axle to do you any good unless you welded up a block on top of the axle pads to take up the difference.

f. boyle, Ijust put a set of daystars on my truck on the 27th and a set on my buddy's the 3rd they were tuff county's. You won't need timdren if you go this route, I run a 7. 5 with wings fisher, my buddy runs a 8. 0 w/ wing boss just like a fisher w/ bottom trip and i haven't yet bottom out, I'm not a hammer dick with my truck either, but before I did this I would bottom out a just the slightest dip in the road. The truck handles alot better with the daystar and plow on. just mo. Buzzy
 
I put Timbrens on my '95' and after I got tired of hearing the overloads banging on my '98, I took the overloads off and put Timbrens on it also. Much improved the ride and will still carry the weight. Like was said before, with a 2" lift you would need to put a riser with it.

I went to timbren and e-mailed them my dillema. I hope they have a longer spring for the front I think I'll put firestone air bags in back. I wonder if the lift will mess with them to?? I might get new stock springs and skip the lift! Are the 1 ton springs the same measure eye to eye? as the 3/4 tons??Are they inter-change able?
