Is it possible to set the time stamp to your local time zone? It is confusing for me in the central time zone to see GMT all the time.

Yep, pull down the discussion forums menu to "User Control Panel" and then click on user options on the left side and then scroll down. You can select your time zone and whether or not you go on daylight savings time where you are.
