I just picked up a set of Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads at Autozone. I got this set under the lifetime warranty. I think the price for a set if you go buy them is $37. 99. I got 40K miles out of the OEM pads, they stopped OK but squeeled sometimes and wore quickly. I got 55K miles out of the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic and could have gone another 15K or so if I had addressed the right caliper hanging up sooner. The left side still had about 25% and the right side was THIN! I also get a bit lazy with the rear brake adjustment, so if I had kept up with that I could have gotten even more. The rear shoes are about 75% and have 60K miles on them. The PFCM stop better than the OEM by quite a bit, last a lot longer and I have never had even the slightest bit of noise out of them. They are not nearly as hard on rotors as some of the other performance linings are either. I still have the OEM rotors on it, but this will likely be the last set of pads on them. If I can get 160K miles out of a set of rotors I am not going to complain. They are good pads, if you get them you will like them.
Steve has a good point ^^^^^^^^^^^ about maintaing the calipers, it helps a ton.
