Well after close to 10 years and 110k my truck (see below) is in need of new tie rod ends, etc upfront.

I'm looking for the best bang for the buck.

I was thinking about upgrading to a t-steering, but have since decided for pure ease I'm just gonna replace everything as stock.

I have heard some good things about NAPA parts and also MOOG (which I think you can get at NAPA).

What are you guys using and what else should I look at/replace while doing this (unit bearings, ball joints and u-joints all are in good shape).

Also if anyone has a list of part numbers that would help alot too.

Thanks

J-

the t-steering conversion is just as easy as the stock. the t-steering is alot bigger pieces and keeps a constant toe during travel. and I got mine through napa and it has a lifetime warranty on all pieces. for bearings i have used napa's they were either timkin or chicago rawhide bearings. ? ball joints from napa/chassis line. lifetime warranty also

Most of the people who have successfully switched over to "T" steering on second gen trucks have 17 inch wheels because the stock 16" wheels have a clearance issue with the tie rod end on hard turns. Apparently the parts are a little larger.

I went to all Moog tie rods and ball joints as well as the DSS at 64k miles (OEM stuff was junk!). I now have over 140k and the front end is still tight.
