Thats wants wierd, Because of the open exhaust, It DOES sound like I back out early... But I assure you I was up to 3300 rom before I chickened out

Yup, exactly why no one notices the Duramax is still its original 300/520 rating when ordered with the ZF. GM claimed last year that over 80% of all D-max trucks had the Allison, Ford claimed nearly as many (on a percentage basis) 'Strokes had the TorqShift.



I don't think it's so much fear of the G56, but buyers are simply glad that the high-output Cummins (305/555, 325/600-610) was finally offered with an automatic to compete with Ford and GM, and are quite happy letting the PCM do the shifting. Adding a true Tow/Haul to the 48RE for 2005 has really sealed the deal.
