Is the time correct on this page When I logged on it said the time is now 4:35 a. m. Well I have 8:35 P. M. Pacific Time. So theres a difference of 8 hours. what time zone is the TDR on? Oh hell what time is it
If the time in the lower right of your normal windows desktop is correct, go to your user control panel here on this site and check your time zone settings.
I believe all times are GMT (meaning Greenwich mean time) as it states in the lower left corner of all the threads. I was wondering why we are based on that worldly figure???
Yeah, but howcum when I get on the board in the mornings the time is correct, but many afternoons instead of showing, say, 2:15 PM the time on the board and the time-stamp on posts will show something like 9:15 PM? I haven't changed any settings on my computer. Then, maybe 2 or 3 hours later, the forum time is "correct" once again.
Rusty... here is what I remember from a previous thread...
If you go to too many other sites, your computer will start replacing some of the cookies. The more sites you go to, the more often you will have to reset the time on TDR.
If I goofed that up, I am sure Kat or someone will straighten me out!
The time in the lower left corner on my display is GMT-5, or UNited States Eastern time zone. The BBS Software probably keeps all times in GMT (World Standard) The user CP allows us to tune the times that we see to our own personal time zone.
