I installed a super phat shaft 66 on my buddys 97 Auto on thurs. WOW!!

It ran real good for a couple of runs @ 55 psi untill the factory head gasket of 217000miles went :-laf

The truck has on it now 370's,Nitrous,16 degs. ,4000 gsk, Super high flow DV's

When i put the 66 on it still shuts down the road with smoke. i figured it might clear it up a bit.

Will timing help??

So the plan is, rebuild the engine, o-ring the block, headstuds, throw some timing in it Oo. Oo.

Bump the timing to 20, make sure the head is decked prior to O-Ring... ... . yes people have not done this, take the 370's out and send them to Brady for a couple of flows through the hone machine or but some dragon flows or super dragon flows (inside joke) and throw a Water/Meth kit on it set to come one full about 40-45 psi and that puppy will rock.

If you do this you might have to back off on the wastegate a few rounds.

Hey Jim what about "Dragonflies" ;) (Another II Inside Joke)

Back to the thread.

Jim is right, about 20 degrees, ex-hone the 370s, deck head, o-ring, 12mm studs, water/meth, and crack the wastegate sooner.

Its a proven combo. I think at least one truck leaves the shop every week or two with almost the same combo.

thats what i was going to go with 20 degs. but as for the injectors i was thinking of getting a set of 518's made.

Water/meth, its In the mail :-laf
