Thought I would post something as I have been lurking for quite sometime. New owner of a 2002 6sp 4+4 22,000 miles on it. While on my search for a truck, I was looking for a truck that could do most everything I needed, no limitations. I looked at gassers, but was soon drawn to the diesels, also have a vw tdi, which I am impressed with . I looked at the duramax's which I thought were a decent rig. I was about to look at the fords and thats as far as that went. anyway I found this site and the next thing I know I have a truck parked in the garage. I am very impressed with this site and have spent many hours studying. First thing I did to the truck was get rid of silencer ring , new fuel filter, which had me sweating bullets, but after about 10 bumps it finally started. After that I figured I had enough balls to do the fuel pressure guage, so I installed the dakota digital post fuel filter, hard to get that bottom banjo but I got it. Pressure is about 15 idle 12 to 13 cruising down the highway and wot haven't had it wide open yet, still a baby! Also studied the oil wars and came to the conclusion delo 400 was for me. Well anyway just wanted to say thanks for all the great information on this board. Also wondering if there is anyone that gets together in the eau claire wisconsin area

Great to have you with us keioga. You've got a great truck there and I hope it is exactly what you're looking for. Go into the "User Control Panel" and setup your profile so we all can see what you drive below your posts. Once again, welcome.

Welcome to the TDR, keioga. We do have a large number of WI members, and we get together from time to time. We also get some IA, MN, and IL guys at our events, too. We had 20+ trucks at a lunch meeting in Milwaukee in January. We'll probably be getting together again before too long. We've had dyno events at K&S (near Wausau) a couple of times, and I wouldn't be surprised if that happened again in the spring or fall - there are some real fanatics up in the part of the state. :D PM me your email address if you want to be on the list for emails.

Be sure to check out the new political forum and chime in, its a nice, quiet break from truck talk!!

The Wisconsionians all seem to have an overwhelming desire to stack their trucks, be careful.

Stacks RULE Gene drools!!

Welcome to TDR We have a great group of guys in the WI and surounding area/states as well. Keep an eye on the local chapters forum for gatherings.

Wausau Dyno day will be May 22 according to Runaway

"K&S Fuel Injection will be hosting their annual Dyno Day event on May 22 this year. This event is open to all makes of trucks and cars. But is catered more to the Diesel Trucks. JK took top honors here last year.

They are hoping to have spokespersons from BD and Edge. They are also looking to have seminars on diesel injection systems.

3 runs on Dyno for around $50 bucks. Like last year you will be able to run your own vehicle.

Lunch provided

More details as we get closer. "

This is a great truck and I am really glad I bought it. The truck seems to have enough power in the stock form, but as you cheeseheads know, the winters are long and a heated garage is a recipe for trouble. Thanks for the replys and its good to know help is out there when needed.
