Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

IRS raiding CAT HQ .... Check it out!!!

Have narrowed it down to a used 2016 Ram 2500 Outdoorsman and new 2017 Ram 2500 Big Horn. Go look at them tomorrow. Also decided to go with the 4x4 :)

Question for the 4x4 owners. It seems like there are no hubs to lock on these trucks? It is done automatically? Last 4x4 I had (Ford Bronco II) you had to get out and lock and unlock the hubs as needed.

No hubs, just turn the dial.
my pick would be the big horn for the dual climate control, not sure if the Outdoorsman has that option. both are AWESOME trucks and will serve you well for many years to come.
be sure to post pics.

Thanks...Delmonico red

Will leave it stock for a few months anyway...So, explain this "delete" process to me...

I know H&S made a delete kit, but have not heard of others.

contact anarchy. that's who i used. its simple, you tune the truck, then delete the hard parts.
or leave it stock long as possible. beings you have DEF, i'd leave it stock. but that's me. your mpg's will be a good bit better then the 08 i have when it was stock. leave it ALONE until it has issues. and it may never have them.

Unless one has unlimited money to throw around, I do not know why ANYONE would delete one of these new trucks during the warranty period. SNOKING

True...I kept my 07 stock until the warranty was over. Will most likely do the same here...hardware anyway. May consider going into a tuner...maybe a Smarty. Not sure what is out there for a 2017.

I can't imagine trading at only 100,000 miles - have 434,000 miles on my 17 yr. old, and just purchased a replacement last week. Of course, I'm still driving the old truck while the roads and weather are crap. Unfortunately, I'm thinking about retirement, and couldn't justify another big truck, so had to go Toyota Tacoma to get close to what I wanted. At 434,000 miles, I have never added a quart of oil, except when I had a gasket leak. At 6000 miles it is just to the add mark.

I agree with you Ray...In most situations I will drive a vehicle until it is not practical or starts nickel and dimeing me. Unfortunately it looks like it was that time for my 2007. I was starting to have to many things wrong with it.

A/C would intermittently quit working. Had it in the shop once for it. Nothing obvious found.
Front end issue(s)...All kinds of creaks, groans, pops when turning, going over bumps. Fixed one issue with sway bar, but looks like there are other issues. Possible ball joints.
Time for new tires.
Had to have transmission rebuilt March of last year. Has not worked 100% since then. Have had it back to the shop 3 times for them to look at. Still not able to figure it out.
Time for new shocks
Does not seem to get as good as MPG as it used to.

Just do not have the patience or time to deal with it all. Every time I have to take it to the shop, I and at times the wife also, have to take off from work.

Went and picked up the new truck last night. Turned on my turn signal as I was turning into the dealership with the old truck and the bulb went out. Guess the truck was saying good bye.

All I can say about driving the new one...OMG ! It was like night and day. Like going from a Model T to a Cadillac. Ride/acceleration is so smooth. So much more quieter/comfortable. Looking forward to hooking up the RV and see how it tows!

All and All...it is going to be worth the monthly car payment!

^^ Glad to hear. I don't regret buying my 2016 one single bit. I love it.
