If i slot out the bolt hole on the crank sensor and advance it a little....will it give me better fuel mileage? power? if so......what are the downsides? What do u know about this proceedure Cerb
also....is there a special trick to upload photos here....tried everything

there is a many times better way to do this on your 06. your truck has in-cylinder egr efi live is best and smarty jr next. they get rid of the third injection pulse and advance timing in a dynamic manor that is far superior to the crank sensor thing. they also do a lot of other useful things, to numerous to mention. a camshaft change will also help get rid of a little more of the egr.

You can buy a modified crank sensor from Rokktech which will do the same thing without you modifying anything. Put the original in the truck and you'll have a spare, as the crank and cam sensors are the same. You could modify yours also, but Rokktech knows when to stop cutting.

CKelley1, When did the Smarty jr get rid of the third injection event? I have an older Smarty jr. My oil still gets black quickly as from the third event EGR.
