An earlier post mentioned a possible increase in fuel economy with a "pure timing box". My truck already does real well--never under 18 mpg by hand calc. , but if I can offset the cost of a box with improved economy it's a win-win situation.
My questions are:
-Which boxes are "pure timing boxes", (and any recommendations?)
-Can I really expect an increase in economy?
-How safe are they--I'm a conservative driver, truck rarely sees half throttle.
Truck is a 555 '03, 94,000 miles. I tow only occaisionally, usually just hauling my vet box over mountain roads.
Thanks in advance, Jeff
