timing on 3rd injection event

Anyone know if the 3rd injection event happens at the same time independant of RPM, Throttle, Boost, etc? I thought I read somewhere it only uses the 3rd event between certain RPM & boost conditions.



Anyone have a oscilliscope captures of the injection events?

I think the 03 (which has only two injections per power stroke) cuts out its pilot injection at certain loads and speeds.

I'm not so much concerned about the pilot injection, just the 3rd event (for the treehuggers). If it happens at the same point everytime then it shouldn't be too difiicult to get rid of. I was hoping someone had some concrete information about when the 3rd event fires.

The way I understand it is that it is always there. But I could be wrong.
