What is the recommended timing for the bombers? I am at 15. 5 currently and it runs real strong but and I am considering going higher to help with the exhaust temperatures. I have been told that 17. 5 is where I should be at with the mods I have. My truck does have the governor spring kit and the fast idle screw is cranked in. I can pull right past 4,000 rpm with no fueling cut off. #ad

dieselburner:

I saw that noone had responded to your
post. My 96' is "set" at about 17. 5
right now. I feel that it runs better
there than when it was at 16-16. 5.

Joe Donnelly wrote a good article on
timing (advantages/disadvanages) in
one of the prior TDR Magazines. I think
it was #29.
