2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission timing?

can anyone help me with timing the ole ctd, how far to go and how to go about timing it?

your truck is a 24v. its all electric. the timing stuff is for the 12 valve trucks. they run off a mechanical injection pump.

The above being true, of course, but if you've removed the power steering and vac pump for repair etc. doesn't the "gear" timing have to be a certain degree upond re-installation for initial set up? Not sure just trying to learn something.

Not at all. Removing the vacuum pump won't change your timing. Just slide it back in.
