I would ask my Dad but he is out in his backyard being bear bait for my cousin's College Proj. My question is I put new wheel bearings in my 04 and was wondering if I should have it aliened ? It seems like it shouldn't bother the alignment as long as everything is tight. Thanks for your replies.

Nathan,

As long as you didn't change anything in the steering linkage such as tie rod ends, drag link ends, or change anything that would alter the height of the suspension you are fine.

Just changing the wheel bearings alone will not affect alignment.

My Dad left me a few names to contact if things went south and yours was at the top of a very short list. Thanks for the info. I didn't touch anything my Dad has told me a million times if it ain't broke leave it alone or it will be. He also said to always leave a picture for your time.

One of the packers that Mom/Dad were with in the mountains came in yesterday with his string they have had enough. He said that everyone is in great spirits and doing well. He made mention of my Dad's hand giving him problems tying down the panniers but he wouldn't say it hurt. I dont think I've ever heard him say anything hurts, its always just another obstacle to deal with. My Grandfather and the Preacher are getting tired he said and that they have stayed in camp a few days to rest up before moving on to the next camp. That's not a big surprise they are 82 and 86 years old. Dad wrote a note that the packer gave us at home and it said to tell Greg that this is one BIG BACKYARD PARD!!!! and has just a few pets to pick up after. :-laf

Just a couple of weeks left and then they will ride into the house and not have to transport the animals. My Dad always like to ride in I think it makes him feel like the ride is complete that way. They have one more air resupply and that is it before the get back. Here is a picture of his new pets in their backyard. My Mom said if they are your pets then your picking up the mess they leave behind. I know that sometimes it feel so good to get off and just walk.

We kind of think our bunch is special but its only as special as the whole. My Mom and Dad have done allot for the kids of the family. They opened our house in Calif. to them and didn't ask for anything except to take advantage of what was being offered and not squander an opportunity. They expected no more or less from my sister and I. We are building a barn for my Dad and His other kids (aka the mules) and a greenhouse for my Mom. We can never do enough to repay what they have given us ,education. But still the whole is what's special to them.

Wait until they get home my Dad has gone nuts with photography. He has a group of pictures that he puts into different folders and files and then gets an ok for some of them to be put on the Internet. He has a bunch of pictures that are already on the net and has no idea how they got there. I know from talking to him when he was home getting his finger fixed that some of the things that they are doing on the study makes him taste cotton (as he puts it ) it relates to the power of pucker. He doesn't know what to grab the gun or the camera.

Mr Harman

I think that my Dad has told you about my Grandfather both he and the Preacher are to be admired. In their 80's and riding on horseback for over 250 miles is something. Im putting up a picture that he said would have a Bull in the group that would put a name in the record books. He tells me find the Elk in the picture. Its hard but not impossible seems like he and my uncle have a special eye for seeing Elk at long distances.

Thanks for the kind words from all and hope to get into TDR shortly myself it seems to have a good crew on board. Back to work my fingers are black and blue my Dad would say I think your supposed to hit the nail head with the hammer not your finger.

Nate, I see two possibilities in that picture. However, without a spotting scope in real life, I couldnt be sure. My eyes are not that good. Movement I can spot but a static shadow is fleeting for me! Thanks for the Pictures!
