I Know That There Is A Post Somewhere About These But I Learned A New Trick Yesterday That Is So Simple And Amazing That It Musted Be Passed On.

After Heating And Drilling With Left Hand Drill Bits With No Luck And Try Ease Outs That Just Wanted To Break Off. (yea Broke One)

Here Is The Trick Heat The Broken Bolt Till It Is Cherry Red And Then Touch It With Parifin Wax And Melt It On The Hot Broken Bolt. The Simply Unscrew With Anything You Can Turn With. I Just Used A Screwdriver I Stuck In The Drilled Hole. I Did Three Bolts With This Trick All Unscrewed As If They Where Just Screwed In Only Minutes Before Handtight.

I Hope This Helps Someone Else From Getting As Frustrated As I Was.

This trick really works. When the bolt or stud, pipe plug etz is red hot, apply the paraffin at thread points. A small birthday cake candle is suitable. Be sure to use safety glasses to protect the eyes.

Some years ago a farm tractor came in with 3 broken easy-outs in broken off studs under the belly of the tractor. Gravity is a fairly reliable help, plus its difficult to weld to cast steel. I just used 6010 and wasted the offending easy-outs and studs, must be careful though, then drilled out original holes to next size studs and tapped the threads so as to increase shear. Even the man I worked for didn't ask how I done it, if times get hard experience counts and he never wanted to see me out of work. Two misnamed shop aids in the USA, Easy-Outs and the old Skunk juice Penetrating oil.
