Anybody know anything about the dealers oil?

How many turns does your steering wheel make?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that non- intercooled injector tips are bigger than intercooled??? That the newer ones are smaller because the larger ones were making the heads crack?

I did read about that somewhere and can't find it but I dont think it was directly related to intercooling; I believe it was more related to Cummins making a mistake in the earlier version of the 5. 9... . sorry I couldn't be more specific.

3 1st gens??! Wow Dustin:) I've got two but would love to have a intercooled parts truck, with good engine parts lol. Nice looking rig in your RR album. You are correct about tip size. Bill P. S. Dustin, tell Carl G about ATF in getrag, fool with his head some more... .

What you talkin about Willis ? 0,o I'm gonna tell PB on you and you won't get your daypass ;) Lol

Oo.

Back to the tips

THe older ones had 9mm holes, and if the EGTs/ engine temp got high, cracks would form between the injector hole and intake valve seat. They went to the 7mm holes to give that extra millimeter between the two, and it reduced the frequency of the cracks. I know about the cracks from personal experience.

Bill... Nothing wrong with having 3. Someday I'll have the market cornered on 1st Gens. I'll get the other pics in my RR next weekend.

Carl G... As for ATF in the Getrag, mine had ATF in it for about 130k and never failed. After changing to 5w-30, it only lasted 10k. This is the only case known and most are amazed it lasted so long on ATF alone.

Ha!

Contrary to what my wife thinks, I do have a memory! Now, should I tell her or not tell her.....

Thanks for the information!
