My first torque wrench.....is it broken????

Where do you guys buy wire?

Also, consider barn style or industrial type rollup doors rather than a standard roll up. You'll save the space overhead that the standard garage door takes up.

Wow, good point I never thought of that. I am also using 1/2 of a 2-car garage for my "laboratory" (as I call it). Like Pavemen, I've found that casters are my friend.

About 2 years ago I went with a friend to a local government auction (www.govdeals.com) and picked up a 3-drawer (ball bearing) legal-sized filing cabinet. It's amazing how useful that thing is. Plenty of room on top of it for shelving or other storage, and tons of room in the drawers. And it's strong, too. I think I paid about $13 for it.

I wouldn't want to work on a truck outside in Olympia Washington. It rains every day.

I cant get nothing inmy garage so i work on stuff out in the driveway. trying 4. 5 hours pulling a auto transmission out of a 4wd ram 3500 by yourself no transmission jack in the middle of winter 2 days before it snowed bad, windy and cold as crap. things get creative.

last week was swaping front and rear ends off one truck to the other in the driveway and it decided to pour and lightning all the sudden while on tight deadline. sitting in a 4" deep puddle in the driveway under the truck wasnt the funnest thing in the world. but had to get it done so I understand where your coming from.

Hey does that building have a window of some sort??? the garage at my old house was hot late at night working on jeep and one morning by sun up i had gone to walmart picked up the biggest a/c unit they had and installed it. this way i could keep doors closed and keep bugs and toads out.
