I am selling my big Lance camper and buying in with a buddy on a toyhauler so I won't need the training wheels anymore.

I plan to install a Pronghorn flatbed and want to stay as narrow as possible. I know an 8' will cover the duals, but don't know if a 7' will be wide enough.

I would like to go with at least 285 to 315 tires and with the dually axle, I'm not sure what the width will be.

I know guys have done this conversion and if possible could you measure the width from the outside of each rear tire, and also say what size tire you're running.

Also, what size spacer is needed for the front wheels so they track the same as the rear.

Thanks

I thought about that but I really like my truck. 55k mi. and not one problem except for a broken dually fender when my brother ran over a re-tread in the road.

I can't see paying $40k for a new truck when this one is set up the way I want. (except dually) I have a Buckstop bumper, Banks exhaust, Hy-Tec pans, Linex and camper tiedowns and airbags.

I also thought about pulling off the fenders and having a body shop fill in the holes and wheel cutouts and adding fender flares. Not sure what this would cost.

I also think the flatbed would be great. Storage boxes, a larger bed area, a gooseneck ball, won't get damaged and best of all it looks cool.

I have time to do my homework so I can use it as a dually for as long as needed. I just put new tires on so I should wear them down first.

Thanks
