Is anyone else out there going through tires every 35K to 40K miles? I have been running 285 Courser CX's. I was told by my local dealer that they have a harder rubber compound, but like clock work, they are just about shot at 35K. Some time ago I read an add for 19" or 19. 5" weels that would take a load rang "F" tire, that was to out last light truck tires 4 to 1. Has any one had any experance with thease tires or do you know where to buy them? Is there any other options?

2002, 2500, Bone Stock, 4X4, Automatic

Thanks,

How often do you rotate? Running correct pressure? Are they wearing evenly?

I've had many different brand/size tires on many different trucks and hardly ever see less than 60,000 miles on a set.

I only have 25000 on my BFGoodrich All Terrain KO's and they are toast, I will definately need something new soon, Lookin at 35's this time around, anyone know if they will fit the stock rims. Sorry to hijack, but it is somewhat relevent

I have 65K on the stock BFG's. Will probably get 80K out of them. But they are almost all highway miles and I hardly ever tow.

My 1st set of stock Mich's went 30K, just barely legal. With winter approaching I changed them out.

Went to PJ 33x12x16 AT E rated on 16x8 ARs.

I'm at 20K miles with them now, they look fine, but probably will just make 30K miles with them as well.

I don't have the side wall cracking I had gotten on the OEM Mich's that came with it new.

I tow on and off road.

Lots of around time both empty and towing and hauling, only highway is usually towing.

Very little highway empty.

I rotate every 6K pressure is in check. I have about 1/2 mile of gravel road I travel daily but most are highway miles. The tires are wareing on the outer edges 25% more than the ID.

See my readers rigs under the caption of new rims and tires... .

I have the 8 lug 19. 5" rims from ricksons tires... . I bought the Michelin tires locally... the "F" rated tires... has 21/32nd tread... supposed to last 130K

Thanks, thats the Co. I was trying to recall. What width and tread patteren are you running or do you recomend?

get the Ricksons Eliminators which is what mine are... . loks like a dodge wheel doesn't it? It uses the factory cap and the polish on it from the box is great!!! The rims are skinnier like 6. 75 X 19. 5" Weight is 30#... very light and rated for 4500#. Off-set s . 25 but with the more vertical tire, you don't notice it. Rims were like $400 each and the tires were like $265 each ... . locally
