What are my options for 265/70/R17 tires? My tire guy can only find B. F. Goodrich and Michelin(both ~$160/tire). I'm not real impressed with the stock Michelins--35,000 miles (back roads) and they're bald. I got the same mileage with tires costing half as much on my Chevy (265/75/R16). That was one nice thing about the 16" rims--oodles of tire choices. Thanks, Jeff

I'm very surprised you didn't get more miles out of your michelins... . I got 60,000 on my last set..... some back roads, but not alot. I was very pleased with them.

My last check at tirerack.com I was able to find BFG AT's 315's for under $140..... you may want to check them out.

I have looked for tires also and most dealers have NO 265-17's. What little selection were around $750 for four and no 10 ply. I don't like the tread on the Michelin for towing in winter. Anyone found anything better?

Good luck!

Only the MIchelin and the BFG are 10 ply. I have been whining at my Les Schwab dealer to push Toyo to make a 10 ply, maybe everyone should complain!

Seems like I saw the Michelins at Sam's club for 125 or so back in April. I was curious right after I bought my truck to see if they carried them and how much they would be.

I called Sam's this past Saturday and they quated me $115 for the 315/70/17.

They did have to order and it was $8 for mounting, balance & lifetime rotation.

I am going today to order
