Just wondering if you guys had similar problems. My wheels are from a second gen and have around i believe a 4.5in backspacing. From what I've read the stock first gen wheels had around the same amount. The tires I have on it are slightly smaller than 33 inches but i still can't turn the truck all that sharp before it rubs the leaf springs. I've only owned it a few months so maybe I'm just not used to the smaller turning radius? I've been trying to find wheels with less backspacing but its so darn expensive I can't believe the stock wheels won't allow 33in tires! Thanks for the help!

I believe the second gen is a little more off set then a first gen wheel is why .most have to run spacer's I believe

How wide are the tires? I'm runnin 33.5" tires on my truck but they are only 6.5" wide (8R-19.5) tires and it is a dully.

Well I measured my wheels instead of taking the internet's word for it and turns out they have a backspacing of 5.5 inches. And the tires on them make it about 10.5 inches wide. Now I think the stock first gen wheels only have 4.5 inches of backspacing; can anyone confirm this? If so I think an inch of added clearance should be enough to fit 33s easily and I can go looking for a set. Thanks!

Well I feel stupid. Tires were hitting the center link not the leaf springs. Turns out the stopper that's on the knuckle to keep the wheel from turning too far was removed by the previous owner. So I'm gonna get a couple bolts and throw 'em in there and that should fix it. I knew it should've fit 33s fine! :roll eyes: Anyways, thanks for the input guys!
