MY 2007 ordering?

In researching where to buy tires for my truck, I came across this company. They are worldwide and are not a fly -by -night internet deal... Their prices and selection are the best on the internet.

When it comes time, I am going to go with Toyo Open Country H/T 265/70/17 for my dually.

I would never buy from them. Their website is clumsy to use (can't use the back button when reviewing a selection of tires. But more importantly, where are they located? Don't say Newport Beach, that's just a PO Box. And those in So Cal probably know, Newport Beach isn't exactly a common area of tire companies/dealers (there are some on the outskirts). However, due to the wealth in that area, it is the home base of many scams. Also, based on the fax number, the phone number is probably directed to another country. The "We're listed Shop Safe" has an Australian address (or Austria?). And that's just from looking at the site for a couple minutes. I'm sure there are more red flags.

Use this company at your own risk.

Their site states to send mail to an address in GERMANY... ...

I have never heard of this outfit, and I deal with tires on a daily basis.

HANOVER, Germany, December 20 -- Delticom has made the jump over the big pond. For a few weeks now the No. 1 European Online tire dealer has been poised at the starting line in the US. Now, at www.tires-easy.com, drivers can easily find the right tires at the tiniest prices.

With more than 70 tire brands and around 15,000 tires in stock, the company - headquartered in Hanover, Germany - started out with a comprehensive, top product line. Delticom currently has 21 online stores in 18 European countries. After Europe, the US, which boasts one of the biggest tire markets, is one of the most interesting markets for Delticom. Andy Sachar, in charge of Customer Service locally (CA), knows that the Delticom concept is being readily accepted.

The company's (open) secret for success mainly lies in the outstanding price-service relationship. Moreover, not only are consumers increasingly open to buying tires on the Internet, they have also come to appreciate the clear advantages associated with it. Customer comparisons made with the stationary tire trade yielded prices that were around 25% more reasonable at Delticom - the same is true for the US.

Delticom's achievements have been recognized worldwide. Recently, Delticom took third place in the Deloitte & Touch Fast50 Competition. Thus, Delticom is considered one of the fastest-growing technology companies and one of the most successful companies in Germany not listed on the stock exchange.

The company has become a real blockbuster in e-commerce. In the 2001 financial year sales totaled EUR 22 million, with EUR 34 million booked in 2002 and EUR 49 million in 2003. For 2004 the company has targeted sales of EUR 70 million. Delticom currently has 41 employees.

And with all that, you'd think they'd have a decent, usable website.

Still, there are many more competent US companies that offer better prices.

Oh really??? Like which ones??? I have compared prices at all the big ones like discount tire, tiresdirect, tire rack etc... And on a per tire basis this place is cheapest. .

Look, you don't have to order here in fact, please don't... This is a new and competitive venue for tires... Maybe because they didn't spend a million dollars on their website, their tires are a little cheaper.

As far as the website, Y does the TDR site sometimes tell me I am restricted from doing more than 1 search in 15 seconds when I only pushed enter once??

Cheers, Bill
