Alright, I am about to finally replace the skinny, wimpy little 245's with some real tires.

Since I will be shelling out hard earned dough, I don't want to make a mistake.

Size will be 285-75R16

My current replacement candidates are:

1. Super Swamper TRXUS

2. MAXXIS Buckshot Mudders

3. Uniroyal M/T's

I drive a lot on the road, but when I am off road, my demands on the tire are high. (plus I really like the gnarly off road tire look better than those wimpy all season jobbies

:D )

That said, can anyone comment on possible wet pavement issues with any of the above named tires?

I know the Uniroyals will probably be the better choice for wet pavement, but they are listed third for a reason. (not as tough looking as the other two)

All comments, advice, and suggestions are welcomed.

TIA

My choice was the Goodyear MT/Rs, but my second choice was the TrXus. The load rating is better on the TrXus, but the load rating on the MT/Rs is fine for me.

As for wet pavement, we don't get much of that here, but the roads get real slick. The MT/Rs handle the wet pavement better than the stock Michelins.
