Replacing Exterior Gelcoted Panel

Foriegn tires strike again...

Good day mates:

I'm working on my truck and just got a set of BFG A/T's for it. MaxBrake to be installed soon.

I'd like to install a TPMS as well. I'd like to be able to change tire pressures and make it easy to do and I'd like to keep the stock wheel covers too.

I'll need to access the inner duallys with an extension I guess.

Has anyone set up their truck for a simular system?

Does any know a good online store with this type of equipment?

Thanks so kindly,

Cee

I don't know what a TPMS is, so I can't help you with that.

As for good valve stem access for your dually's, I bought a kit from Geno's that works fairly well. (It's better than nothing. ) My main complaint is, ea. time I need to check my air pres. , they've moved out of position. I then have to get down on my hands and knees and maneuver them back into the spot that I can get the air-hose on. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep them from rotating around so much.

My favorite so far though, is the spare tire hose extention kit, for checking air pressure without having to crawl under the truck. I should have had one of these many moons ago.

A TPM is a Tire Pressure Monitor system. Link to TPM

I check air pressure on my dual wheels with a long stem double headed trucker's air pressure gauge. I use the inner head of the gauge to check the outer wheel and the outer head of the gauge to check the inner wheel.

I also have a long stem double headed air chuck. I use the same principle to inflate the dual tires as I do to check air pressure.

I do not remove the wheel skins to check or inflate my tires.

You can purchase extensions from Camping World and other sources made of braided stainless steel flexible line to extend inner to outside to easily check air pressure. If you by chance buy the Doran TPMS which sensor screws on the valve stem this extension will be need at any rate. The extension is similar to the line sold by Geno's to check spare air pressure and fill as needed. Except braided steel and shorter.
